Frequently Asked Questions
|
Below are some of our most frequently ask questions about the Blendtec products.
If you do not find what you're looking for here, please feel free to
contact one of our customer service representatives.
- Are the jar markings easy to read?
Yes. The marking are printed in black on two of the outside panels of the jar. The
other two panels are open for customizable markings, such as logos or custom measurements.
Call us for more details on this service.
- Does the Blendtec unit require that liquid be the first ingredient?
No. You never need to "float the ice" or any other ingredient in a Blendtec machine.
It is the only blender that will make "snow" out of ice.
- Are your products UL certified?
Our products are listed with ETL Semko (Electronic Testing Laboratories). ETL is
another nationally recognized testing laboratory. The rigorous standards by which
our blenders are tested meet the same compliance required by UL standard 763.
You can read more about ETL at www.etlsemko.com
- Can I buy blades or lids seperately?
Because the blade is sonically welded inside of the jar base, the entire jar must
be replaced. You will find that the price of a complete jar is comparable to the
blade assemblies our competitors offer. Lids are available for replacement.
- Are the jars stackable?
Yes. They will nest inside one another (alternating the handles on the standard
64 oz. jars), requiring much less storage space.
- Can I get a sound enclosure for the EZ blender?
No. The sound enclosure is designed for our Titan, ABC, or Smoother series. It can
be utilized with the black stand, or when installed in the counter. The sound enclosure
can also be used with the SpaceSaver series when installed in the counter, but it
is not a part included with the package.
- Can I order units in 220 volts?
Yes. The ChefTec, ABC, Smoother, Spacesaver, and Xpress(equivalent of EZ blender)
are available in 220 volts, although we are adapting many of our other products
to accomodate the growing need.
Please note: We do NOT sell these machines domestically. Please contact our
international department for more information.
- Does Blendtec sell direct?
No. Our sales are managed throughout the country by reputable representatives and
dealers. See the appropriate section under the "Where to Buy" tab to locate a dealer
that best fits your needs.
- Are the blenders easy to program?
Yes. See the documents in the "Software" section for details on how to program your
blender.
- How can I restore my blender to the factory default setting?
Enter the sequence 5-2-1 in rapid succession on the touchpad. If the unit
does not reset try the sequence again, pushing the buttons firmly. The LCD screen
displays the new settings.
