Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Are the jar markings easy to read?

    Yes. The marking are printed in black on two of the outside panels of the jar. The other two panels are open for customizable markings, such as logos or custom measurements. Call us for more details on this service.

  2. Does the Blendtec unit require that liquid be the first ingredient?

    No. You never need to "float the ice" or any other ingredient in a Blendtec machine. It is the only blender that will make "snow" out of ice.

  3. Are your products UL certified?

    Our products are listed with ETL Semko (Electronic Testing Laboratories). ETL is a nationally recognized testing laboratory. The rigorous standards by which our blenders are tested meet the same compliance required by UL standard 763.

  4. Can I buy blades or lids separately?

    Because the blade is sonically welded inside of the jar base, the entire jar must be replaced. You will find that the price of a complete jar is comparable to the blade assemblies our competitors offer. Lids are available for replacement.

  5. Are the jars stackable?

    Yes. The newly designed jars will nest inside one another. If the jar is pre-2010 and does not have stacking fins, then alternating the handles on the standard 64 oz. jars is required.

  6. Can I get a sound enclosure for the EZ blender?

    No. The sound enclosure is designed for our Q-Series, ABC, or Smoother. It can be utilized with the black stand, or when installed in the counter. The sound enclosure can also be used with the SpaceSaver series when installed in the counter, but it is not a part included with the package.

  7. Can I order machines in 220 volts?

    Yes. The CHEF, Q-Series, SpaceSaver, and Xpress(equivalent of EZ blender) are available in 220 volts, and we are adapting many of our other products to accommodate the growing need.

  8. Does Blendtec sell direct?

    Yes, Blendtec sells a limited number of models online. However, our full product line is only available by utilizing our dealer network, which covers the entire nation. Please use our Dealer Locator to find a dealer near you.

  9. Are the blenders easy to program?

    Yes. See the documents in the "Software" section for details on how to program your blender.

  10. How can I restore my blender to the factory default setting?

    Enter the sequence 5-2-1 in rapid succession on the touchpad. If the unit does not reset try the sequence again, pushing the buttons firmly. The LCD screen displays the new settings.
