Blendtec engineers have developed the most efficient jar shape for the blending
process. This design allows ingredients to bounce off the sides of the jar and back
into the blending vortex instead of chasing the ingredients around in a circle.
By adding a fifth side to our 96oz jar, an off-center blending vortex is created
within the mixture. The sweeping action of this unique vortex ensures that every
inch of the drink is pulled down into the blade area. Blendtec’s patented wing-tip
blade design has two sides instead of four to maximize the efficiency of the motor
force. The blade takes up less space in the bottom of the jar allowing ingredients
to fall within the blade area instead of hovering around on top.
